99% of the time the issue is not that someone is a "bad person", if that helps. TBH actual bad people seem to get too much attention?

As much as we beat ourselves up for not meeting arbitrary standards of activity or quality or whatever, that in no way makes us "bad". No moral judgements here!

I think we're gonna see more and more of this in the future, tho. Most thoughtful people dislike things the platforms they're on support, but the things are gonna get downright rancid.

We still gotta keep pushing back at those platforms, rather than our fellows.

And it is easier to make a big stand about something you didn't like much anyway, or that has minimal personal impact on your own bottom line.

Also an assload of VTubers spent the last month-ish fundraising AGAINST ICE, right? And generally hating on it? There's some irony here....

Anyway I think everyone's done some quality yelling at the people that don't get how Twitch/YouTube ads work so I don't gotta join in

Tho it reminds me that a lot of people not only don't get how streaming WORKS, but even what it IS or why people even like it.

If you want to tell Twitch you don't want any ICE/Military ads you can use this user voice to do so.

Yes, I do in fact think it's a pretty fucking shit take to victim-blame marginalized creators who rely on platforms to live, instead of attacking the platforms themselves for being shitty corpos.

I always try and remember that much of the time a lack of growth is not because of a lack of quality, but simple difficulty in having your stuff seen in a very crowded online space.
