There are a lot of challenges to teaching large enrollment courses that schools do not adequately support instructors in those classes.
Logistics are challenging, from using the LMS platform to policies for missed classes and assignments. These are not designed for large courses.

When people learn with ChatGPT instead of following their own searches, they end up knowing less, caring less, and producing worse advice, even when the facts are the same.

I wrote an OpEd back in April about how mass deportations, tariffs, cuts to safety net programs, and mass firings and funding cuts to federal institutions were going to undermine food safety and access in the United States.
Nobody would publish it. π I think they thought I was overreacting.

The ACIP vote was tied 6-6 for requiring everyone to get a prescription for the COVID19 vaccine.
The chair broke the tie by voting NO.
Prescriptions will NOT be required.
To my H-1B friends, I am so fucking sorry. This all sucks so much.

But the ban on entry appears to also apply to ANYONE with an H-1B currently, and says that petitions must be "supplemented" with a $100,000 fee, so who knows who pays that.
