ehhh depends. there are a few gimmicks I really missed from ps like color dynamics, curves as a separate layer and being able to use it as a clipping mask etc. the new shader and bristle brush option, though very limited, feel very nice. theres a free trial if you havent checked it out yet!

いまの作り方になっているの、小学生当時に読んだ模型雑誌に書いてあった「フルスクラッチビルド」て語感が無駄にカッコよかったせい。
時期的にはSF3D初期の頃、ホビージャパン誌の別冊が出た頃だったように記憶しているのだけど（そのSF3Dは、むしろ現在のミキシングビルドのはしりではあるのだけど）、とにかくぜんぶ作る、という概念が何だかとても凄いことのように思えたので。
また当時、物によってはオリジナル色が強かったり、特有のアレンジが効いた造形も目立っていたので、「基本的には設定そのままには作らず、アレンジを施す」というのもその影響であるように思う。
じつのところ、概念よりは語感が先行しているのだが。
