Timeseries of global average air temperature back to the 1780s
How did global air temperatures vary before 1850?
We can now answer this from direct instrumental observations.

Welcome, Jim! This is better place. As soon as I have a little free time, I'll move myself entirely over here.... (I will leave my posts up at Twitter, though, so I can search them.)

Upholding DEI efforts would have been cheaper, and it would have distracted the public from the greater problem of their low wages and their secondary impact on communities where they employ a large swath of workforce.
Instead, this.

By misunderstanding/ignoring the math of spatial averaging, he's decided that climate scientists know nothing about the urban heat island (UHI) effect. He's brought his Twitter shtick over here.

Here's a tip: if you as a non-expert can't understand the math (in this case, spatial-integral estimation) in a field that you're attempting to critique, then maybe you should shut up at first & learn the basics instead.
After I posted my results in response, you ran off for a month. Recently, I've been unavailable for your dumb games on Twitter, so I couldn't respond right away. But now I'm mostly done w/ you & other climate deniers on Twitter anyway. x.com/priscian/sta...
