Green Party Conference has voted to declare the IDF a terrorist organization.
In this, the Green Party agrees with Pope Francis, who was clear that Israel's mass murder of civilians in Gaza is terrorism.

The election of billionaire oligarch Andrej Babiš in Czechia is yet another illustration of how the far right is now synonymous with kleptocracy - and why democracies need to do much more to keep big money out of politics.

Wish I could say I was shocked, but here's the Labour government constraining the right to peaceful protest again...
'You can protest but only according to our rules. The rules are: you're not allowed to use any of the tactics that make protest effective.'

The UK supposedly has a "special relationship" with the US. You'd think the fascistic violence & terror now being unleashed against the people of the US by Nigel Farage's close ally Trump might be of more interest to the UK media.

Stern is revered as a hero by Israeli fascists who are now in government.

Greta Thunberg is an exceptionally brave young woman who is telling the truth about Israel's genocide in Gaza.
That's why she's ridiculed & abused by supporters of the genocide & now subject to violent assault by Israeli state operatives.

This horrific assault on human rights & the rule of law is exactly what we can expect if Trump-fan Nigel Farage gets his hands on power.
Had the government said "as a mark of respect, we'd like you to cancel football matches, concerts etc AND protests today", then fair enough. But to single out the protest they've long wanted to stop anyway as the one thing we should not do looks like disgraceful exploitation of a horrific attack.

Quite a lot of the far-right thugs involved in the racist riots last year also had convictions for domestic violence and sexual offences.
Rape is a very serious violent crime. Jihad Al-Shamie had reportedly been given police bail after being charged with rape.
Is this normal practice in such cases? If there's credible evidence that someone has committed rape, how can it be safe to leave them at liberty?
