Enemy NPCs now have perception!
They can now make actions based on sight, hearing and damage!
When investigating the location of a sound, they'll have a look and then go back to their previous task!
Can't wait to expand this further!

Here's a little preview of what I have for NPC AI so far!
He can patrol and can change states from passive to hostile.
Next up is creating AI perception so I can eventually set up the NPC to be able to swap states without my input!

Not many things to update on for gamedev rn.
I'll be making enemy AI for a while but will show progress when I reach milestones!
It's my least favourite thing to set up but feels amazing when it just works.

2024 has been a rollercoaster.
I started Blue Corvus Games and slowly making my dream a reality.
I also lost people I cared about deeply, but Iām pushing on. I went back to the gym and now Iām getting healthier and happier by the day.
Bring it on 2025, Iām ready this time.

Status effects from spells are now functional!
There are still a couple of bugs to fix but the core of it is working nicely.
Going to iron out the bugs and then add more status effects for other spells too!

Adding on from this, the groundwork for ranged combat is done!
This means I'll be adding bow+arrow and spellcasting based combat to the game and will hopefully have it working tomorrow!

I got the 1 Handed weapon type working! Here's the WIP mace in action!
I have a few more weapon types to add and then it's onto enemy combat and making actual gameplay and polishing!

I'm now back home working on gamedev after having a wonderful time with my family.
Had some ideas on what to add next while away from home and already working on expanding what types of weapons the player can use!

I spent yesterday overhauling my character sheet component with a new class system that should hopefully allow me to create more unique encounters and for players to have a bit more choice when building a character.
Very happy with it so far and looking forward to expanding it!

I'm very happy with the progress on gamedev today. The next 3 months have been planned and I got everything on my to-do list done for today at least!
I've also opened doors for more player choice on how to approach certain tasks. Very much looking forward to expanding further!

Here's an early WIP look of one of the interior levels for my first game! Still a lot of work to do but I'm happy with the progress!
