I saw you picked Dust earlier. I can’t explain it’s appeal but it just has a classic feel to it.

Loved the single Dust. Very nearly made my top 30 00s tracks.

All of the singles had a chance but this one has always been my go to Idlewild track.

Live In A Hiding Place | Idlewild | 2002

The third single from their third album The Remote Part. The album was as big as Idlewild got in terms of sales and the four singles released from it were first class but this is the one I return to again and again.

The Twilight Sad aren’t renowned for producing happy/light music but that’s why I love them so. The bleakness and darkness are what makes them so special. The Room is a prime example of this.

The Get Go | New Young Pony Club | 2007

An album track from their Mercury Prize nominated debut Fantastic Playroom. It was possibly the coolest record I bought in 2007. Subsequent albums didn’t have the quality of this one but then it was a high bar to reach.
