They’re pretty standard budget thermal printers. I’ve printed hundreds of seed labels with a B1. Resolution is limited but the newer models are 300 DPI. They also have more transfer tape models which probably hold up better long term. The labels have a proprietary RFID but that may be hackable.

There are at least 2 different enlarged/bleeding calyx traits, the BBG (bubblegum) in chinenses and bleeding trait (annuums). There’s an Indonesian hobby breeder that has taken the rawit crosses to some unholy places. There’s a cool double flower mutation which is also starting to make the rounds.

I have yet to get any super dark plants with PDN level darkness from my annuum cross F2’s, but I only got a few to fruit last fall. Hopefully I don’t need some other secret sauce!

I am part of a loose pepper breeding community (mostly on Discord) and we often reference those blog entries. Many breeders are just focused on maximum heat and scary pod shapes, but there’s also a lot of interest in novel flavor combinations, heatless varieties, striped pods, bleeding calyxes, etc.

I’m working on a few annuum x Pimenta da Neyde crosses in hopes of creating true purple and black annuum dominant peppers.

I got spontaneous F1 variegation in the interspecies line, and that has shown again with subsequent crosses using that plant as a mother. I’ve been interested in all the color and foliage variations that have popped up.

Whoops, not too much plant content on my feed. Just followed you on instagram with my pepper account. Many of the crosses I’m growing out now are somewhat chaotic and interspecific, like (Anuum x Annuum F2) x Chinense. I started for fun and got hooked. Those lines are mostly being grown for looks.
