Yeah 2 HIV-2 viral tests neg over 6 months. I am inclined to say this is false positive too! Tried to look for schisto/strongy as i saw some literature for them to cause cross reacting ab. Both negative.

Foscarnet/cidofivir are options too but they carry their own risks. I feel more comfortable with gan/valgan. Intravitreal is an adjuctive option as @boghuma.bsky.social suggested.

Personally, would do Ganciclovir/valgcv + gscf support intermittently to keep ANC >1000 if the issue is only agranulocytosis! Would switch PCP SXT proph to SS/day or switch to Dapsone to minimise other drug contributions to agranulocytosis.

I dont think patients in Canada send so many messages as here to be honest. I used to share email too but I dont think I have ever gotten these many things in my inbox as here in a day. 😬
