Old Englishwoman, loves the outdoors, the British Isles/Celtic* Archipelago. Sad about the planet. Don’t expect cohesive themes; just what’s on my mind. *Someone mooted this name & I'm going with it.

Morrisons had run out of Gluten-free bread so I had to settle for pancakes. Oh, well! Any port in a storm, as they say.

It's like the bullied kid in the playground, snapping and lashing out in all directions. It doesn't end well because those who should prevent it are either looking the other way or enjoying the show.

What are Reform's credentials for being the go-to for defence advice?

This is not a season for polite politics. This does not mean individuals can't be civil though.

What did Azerbajan do to earn that?

Drove through Lyneham yesterday morning, petrol price £1.33. My husband joked that we should fill up now in case it's higher on the way back. Drove back in the afternoon and it was £1.36.

"Those who do not know history's mistakes are doomed to repeat them" (George Santayana). And now, repost them. Why are we not pointing a finger and laughing at the series of Lord Rothemeres who have ordered the churning out of 💩in the Daily Mail, for over a century? Why does anyone read it?

I would use 'we' and 'us' when trying to convince Reformites they're backing the wrong horse.

I had never seen the Clintons in a state of contained rage before. Forcing them to testify whilst overlooking evidence against those still in office was, I think, an overplay.

Forgive me if I don't press "play"; I haven't had my breakfast yet.

What the Daily Mail has said, throughout history, should be taught in schools. But schools and colleges were funding-forced into dropping media awareness modules as 'irrelevant' during the right-wing stranglehold on society, in place since Margaret Thatcher took office.

It's a bit like Mike Tyson boasting he knocked out a schoolkid (he didn't do it or boast; he has more class than Pete Hesgeth).

I made wrong assumptions. Charles I was put under house arrest in the old Tudor royal apartments at Hampton Court Palace, from where he escaped. Recaptured, he was kept prisoner at Carisbrooke Castle on the Isle of Wight and beheaded on 30 January 1649 outside the Banqueting House in Whitehall.

They never bothered for a short clip; it was going to take up most if not all of the lesson.

White haw blossoms, or similar hedgerow shrub, with small dark butterfly that just looks like a black dot on this image, so I added an arrow and a label in blue.

A small brook cuts through early spring woodland, its shallow waters in shade. The afternoon sun casts long shadows diagonally across the greenery. The shadow of a small wooden bridge with narrow, vertical slats, is cast horizontally across the middle of the scene. In the centre of the shadow bridge is cast the silhouette of someone leaning on the bridge, admiring the view.

Excellent! Courses that challenged students tonqueation the status quo tended to get axed in the UK during the long, anti-socialist Thatcher-Blair-Cameron+ period.

The Festival | Tolpuddle Martyrs

I just got wind of this festival and thought Blue Sky should know about it. I got taught about the Tolpuddle Martyrs in school but, working in secondary schools in this millennium, I don't remember it being covered. Maybe I just missed those lessons as my job was mainly in ASC and Science.

Cover of a satirical Alphabet book called The Nac Mac Feegles' Big Wee Alphabet Book (Terry Pratchett Disc World spin off) With crazy image of little men with blue skin and red hair who speak with Glasgow accents and fight a lot. They are the Nac Mac Feegle and have no king, no queen and no master.

Every time.an American talks about a "No Kings March", I think of the Nac Mac Feegle.
