Oh, i liked the game a lot too! The story just rubbed me as super rushed, especially towards the final act.
So just wish the game was allowed to have more time/resources to iron things out.

oh ye i meant like i don't generally strive for getting a lot of likes/reposts etc (big numbers). but due to how most of these types of sites are shaped, everything is kinda reduced to a number (so many numbers) and i don't vibe with that. Hope that clears things up!

Oh,i don't care much for big numbers. It's more about the general feeling of posting in a space where you see so many numbers and how that shapes the way you interract with the site. That's kinda like that for every social media site for me.
I do honestly like the no algorithm approach bsky has tho

nah, that's just me with any site where there's a lot of attention and a lot of ppl interract! It's less about raw numbers or engagement, and more just seeing the numberification of how ppl interract with you/your art that always manages to get to me.

okay i've been busy for many reasons lately but one of the valid ones was making a wg sequence for a certain game update that you will most likely see in a few days
shoutout for @grotlover2.bsky.social again for their really fun potion game

-look so quick and breezy but also really good and complete despite all that.
They have a very “freeing” vibe to them in way idk how else to say it but i like your art a lot

For what it’s worth, i always thought your art is really cute and i genuinely had some of your sketches in mind more than once when i was debating if i should post something or not cuz they-

And i bet there are probably a lot more people feeling similarly too. If there was a time where it’s valid to be kinda beaten down and tired, it’s probably now with all bs happening in the world too.
Man, I do hope you’re doing well regardless of all this bs.

It’s just… very tiring to be creative sometimes when you know that there are so many others out there who would blow you out of the water if it all WAS a competition.
Also hope i wasn’t just projecting my feelings over yours. And for what it is, it’s always nice to know that i am not alone in this.

-and so even if you didn’t care about numbers before, or never felt competitive towards other artists. Now everything kinda nudges you towards being like that because you have so many direct indicators of your success or how “good” you are as an artist.-

-It’s like doubly bad because those are not nice feelings to have, but then you also feel bad because you also feel like an asshole. It doesn’t help that all these patterns get fuelled by how sharing art works in a social media space, which is unfortunately where everyone else is now-

-So you might as well stop because all the effort you’re putting into art is just a sunk cost at this point. Or that you’re simply not cut out to pursue your passion with how much better everyone else is doing that same around you.-

-Like, having feelings of envy towards other artists who might be getting more attention than you, or you feel like are just simply better. It sometimes feels like you’re surrounded by titans who have something innate that you will never be able to have yourself-

I can personally relate to how you feel a lot and i hope you don’t mind if i join in on the venting. Im sorry that you are having a hard time there, but im also… kind of relieved that i am not alone in having these kinds of thoughts-
