Called my congressman who voted for the SAVE act.

Me: What documents will I need to vote if this passes?
Staffer: a DL and birth certificate.
Me: The documents don’t match
Staffer: Then a marriage certificate.
Me: Will my husband need the marriage certificate too?
Staffer: No
Me: See the problem?

Kurt Vonnegut tells his wife he's going out to buy an envelope:
"Oh, she says, well, you're not a poor man.
You know, why don't you go online and buy a hundred envelopes and put them in the closet?
And so I pretend not to hear her. And go out to get an envelope because I'm going to have a hell of a good time in the process of buying one envelope.
I meet a lot of people. And see some great looking babies. And a fire engine goes by.
And I give them the thumbs up. And I'll ask a woman what kind of dog that is. And, and I don't know. The moral of the story is β€” we're here on Earth to fart around
And, of course, the computers will do us out of that. And what the computer people don't realize, or they don't care, is we're dancing animals. You know, we love to move around.
And it's like we're not supposed to dance at all anymore."

With the same general mess and complex emotions that their adult counterparts have just at a different stage in life. Also just normalize reading again get away from the corporate computer stuff in school (at least here in the usa) and bring text books back it just reenforces the problem

A lot of children's stories now shy away from difficult topics or approach them from a 'soft' stand point, my daughter who is a tween finds them'cringe' as she told me.

I think we need to stop writing like kids are made of cotton and start writing like these are actual tiny humans

TCAF is proud to champion comics as a vital art form.

In this political climate, protecting the arts as a source of revolutionary self-expression has never been more important.

But like many nonprofit arts orgs, TCAF is experiencing financial challenges.

Can u let me know when plushies are back in stock? Even if they go up in price, your comic is my daughter's favorite webtoon. I'd like to get one for her birthday. It's not till September so no rush.
