My problem with SoV Alm is that he feels like perfect balance of Duma and Mila from the start and it both makes him less interesting and Celica seem more flawed when compared to him. It doesn't feel like he needs her to balance him out like the game tries to tell us

It's interesting how much different Alm's characterization in Awakening dlc was compared to SoV. He's much more aggressive and vengeful and dare I say, that version better fits with the theme of balance between strength and compassion
