also ChatGPT itself isn't an LLM. It's a software interface that leverages multiple LLMs like GPT-4o, o3 and likely after today GPT-5 (and other internal models and software tools OpenAI doesn't share), embedding databases, web search and attached files to feed the context.

You probably want to use the term embedding instead of encoder, as that mixes up other terms that your audience may look up later (for example OpenAI's GPTs are decoder-only models)
