this was truly an exercise in proving to myself I actually could make them, and ngl, it was very difficult and a bit time consuming because the movements are very detailed so there's not a lot of room for error. You'd probably fair better at it than me though since you're so fast!

they're "cousins" in the sense of how you might call a close family friend of your mom or dad an aunt or uncle. They're not blood related, their families have just always been close

Jordin let out a huff. There was no denying the fact that since he'd been back, perhaps he hadn't done anything particularly reprehensible. But he wasn't the one there through 3 years of helping Cordie get over what he'd done to her.

"I thought I made it very clear that Cordelia is my best friend, and I will protect her, especially from people who have had a track record of hurting her."

Matthew clicked his tongue. "I can acknowledge that perhaps in the past I may not have been as best behaved. But I'm no longer a boy."

Despite what it may have looked like from Cordelia's perspective. Things weren't quite so cozy between Mathew and Jordin, especially not after the ultimatum Jordin levied.

"And what exactly gives you the right to dictate who me or Cordelia are in proximity with?"

"Because it means that I don't have to get used to the idea of you being all grown up just yet."

"Hey!" Cordie nudged him playfully. "I am all grown up! In fact when your duty is finished I'll be 18, an adult woman. You just might fall for me."

"Sure," Aiden laughed, "when pigs fly!"

Aiden observed Cordelia as she watched her two friends, a mix of surprise and perhaps something else present on her face.

"Jealous?" He inquired

"Jealous? Jealous of what?"

Aiden began to chuckle. "I guess of nothing yet, which admittedly that's a little comforting for me."

"Matthew? No, we're just—" Cordelia glanced to her right where Aiden cocked his head, where she found Matthew, but where she didn't expect to also find Jordie—in his arms.

What were they doing together? Jordie had always made it clear she was no fan of Matthew, and yet they were dancing. Closely.

"I don't know what you mean." Cordie thought she'd gotten good at hiding her crush on him that would come and go.

"If you want me to treat you like you're grown up, you can't lie to me Cordie." A smile that was more smirk grew on his face. "But then again maybe it's not a complete lie because—"

"I think you need to experience that true first love. That really made my high school experience. It might do the same for you. Because you've definitely never really fallen in love."

"How're you so sure?"

"I can tell by the way you look at me sometimes."

Cordie wrinkled her nose in embarrassment

"But now you're giving me a deadline. What's a girl to do? And whose to say I haven't already experienced love?"

"First of all, I'm not contradicting my mom. She's right in her own way. Love should never be rushed, but I think she and I mean different things. Rather than a one true love—"

After Aiden dipped Cordelia, he followed up with another one of her favorite moves, a whimsical twirl.

"Fall in love, huh?" A smile freshly placed on her lips. "You know that's very different advice than what Auntie Mel told me yesterday. She said not to be in a rush about love."

I legit heard about it on the radio and was so stoked it was opening so close to me 😁

I really enjoyed it! A solid 8/10. We got mezanine tickets that were a decent view, but if I could do it over I'd get orchestra seats. It's definitely better to see it closer up then a bird's eye view
