hot take, but I feel like "legacy gameplay" as it's been popularized in the community by people who generally don't enjoy playing the game in live mode has always highlighted the aspects of this game that people who play in live mode don't like/care about because that's not what makes live mode fun

this is definitely the stop of overconsumerism I will be getting off at. I'm curious how viable this strategy will be for them, and I'm morbidly curious how the creator network people who have dug their heels in will be able to sell these anti-consumer practices with a smile and pretty words 😐

I think the moment they decided to make playing a single game a career move is where my sympathy wains. I don't have a problem in general with only wanting to play one game, casually. But as a career move, it's misguided. But even still they can still do that without being in the network 🤷🏿‍♀️

I think in a lot of the ways Matthew has grown since he kissed Cordie without her consent, Jordie has grown too from her possessive of her BFF childhood days. These two are very similar in the fact that they remember how they used to be but aren't aware of how either has grown and changed since 💁🏿‍♀️

"How's this then, take me out for a spin on the dance floor."

He paused yet again. She couldn't be serious.

"You know throwing yourself at an uninterested man is a very unattractive trait, Jordin. Who knew you were so shameless."

Matthew thought on it for a second before immediately refusing.

"I'll pass. Find someone else to play with." He didn't trust Jordin. He'd never confide in her.

not to say that Jordie doesn't have her flaws and her own territorialness around Cordie hasn't created problems before like when Cordie and Zella became friends, but she also isn't unfounded in her dislike of Matthew 😅

There's perspective to be considered in this case. Though Jai has been jealous and paranoid within his relationship with Cordie, outside of that he's always been very kind and decent. Meanwhile, Matthew has been on Jordie's shit list since he forced a kiss on her and made her cry 💁🏿‍♀️

I'm hoping that if you just never purchase any store content the always online aspect will be a non-factor. If that's the case, I was never going to entertain the marketplace anyway and I'm already quite comfortable playing offline, so I hope I can do that from here on out
