Unfortunately, that work has been thoroughly debunked for making the most basic statistical errors. See, e.g., "The Spirit Level Delusion" and Chapter 6 of "May Contain Lies".

This is an admirable intention, but is undermined when the very first paper that they cite is the thoroughly debunked McKinsey diversity study.
