This image comes from a page discussing what materials and dyes would have been available at the time, including foreign materials.

Jedi Master F'izz @MisterFizz •40m Yes, I see the point you're making - deliberately ignoring the bulk of the book's illustrations, which are full of the depictions of whiteness you guys usually love, so that you can complain that the guy who brought dyes from Turkey and Africa is too dark for your tastes.

“Carved in Stone” is a really neat #TTRPG sourcebook written by archaeologists about the Picts, a lost subculture in Scotland. Twitter is currently losing their minds about it for no good reason; my response is chronicled here. Book is from @stoutstoat.co.uk and it’s great!

The weakest parts of the show are the Alien and the strongest parts of the show have nothing to do with the Alien.

The most interesting scene was the ex-machina scene between Curly and Boy CEO exploring a sibling rivalry between two robots.

Overall: A more promising episode. It’s becoming clear that they had very little desire to make an Alien show. The Bladerunner show they are developing instead is interesting to me, at the obvious expense of any tension or interest in the subject matter of Alien.
