acrylic painting i made in fall 2024 of the little chicken guy from "the temptation of saint anthony." it's a little pink anthropomorphic bird with a walking stick, a little guitar slung o'er the shoulder and little heavy boots

i saw that painting at the national gallery in dc in 2015 and think about that little chicken troubadour all the time. made a little painting of it myself not too long ago www.nga.gov/artworks/416...

looks like this lil guy from "the temptation of saint anthony," by a follower of pieter bruegel the elder (ca 1550 or 1575)

and that's reassuring. there is such a need for new platforms, but it feels like every one that gains any traction, a year or two later, we learn the owner uses puppies to fuel his servers, or they are investors in atrocities or one kind or another. it's exhausting!

i mention wordpress just because i've had a sit there for like 10 years and it's been a stable platform! appreciate the list; provides me a number of options to look into!

flick, you can't do anything anymore without supporting really just evil people. guess that leaves www.beehiiv.com and good old wordpress. anyone know if either of them is particularly awful?
