You are correct. But it's not about *morality* per se. It's about *group identity.* Thus, the question is, "does this morality threaten our alt-right identity, worldview, etc?" Going deeper, it's about power, control, authoritarianism. I wrote a Substack on "Fundamentalism." Your post augments it.

In the MAGA mindset there are "Fundy" and non-"Fundy" clergy. In their thinking, the non-"Fundy" ones are evil="liberal." This all formally started in 1979 and has gotten increasingly defiled since then - hence that photo. IMO, more "pure" Evangelicals, like Billy Graham, wouldn't have liked this.
