My explanation is that I exercise, often vigorously, on a daily basis. Before bedtime, it's my routine to exercise at a moderate intensity level. I believe my particular physical fitness routine contributes to the lower than my average blood glucose during sleep.

Hi Robin, that's a great question. No, not normal at all, for either a healthy control or a person with type 2 diabetes. On the other hand, I have a unique metabolism, and this fasting trend during sleep is probably 'normal' for me.

Good morning friends! Overnight, my glucose trend revealed that I dipped into the low 50s for a bit (asymptomatic), which is not uncommon for me. Otherwise, the trend looked very healthy. My 7 am fasting glucose was 68 and is now trending up due to the waking adrenaline surge. 🤓

Given the turbulent national political climate and the unsavory choices for the Texas GOP candidate, I believe Talarico has a fighting chance to make this race competitive — if he plays his cards right.

I concur with the interviewee in your article that Talarico is, indeed, a different breed of Texas Democrat. Certainly, he’s not the historical young upstart liberal who extols “Turn Texas Blue” and progressive causes and turns off moderate independents in this state — a disastrous approach.

However, as you know, the current political climate is more dynamic and unpredictable. For example, the recent special election on Jan 31 in Tarrant County was a shock to the system in Texas. The GOP is in hot water here.

As you wisely reported, Rep. Talarico faces a steep ascent in the general election. Texas is a solid red state. As it stands, the Democratic party lacks the votes to win any statewide or national election here. That’s been the reality for decades.
