These teams are so bunched up. I think if JMU beats Coastal and App beats TXST JMU could move up to 6th? (They were in 10th place a week ago)

JMU hoops in shambles.

Tech finished 11-3 and won the ACC that year, so it wasn’t all bad.

Sure, you’re only off by 3 coaching changes at both schools.

Beamer lost to Mickey Matthews.

β€œCongrats you were only off by 3 three coaches”

Chesney teams were def more penalty prone than the Cignetti teams at JMU, but never to a point of concern.

Also have to factor in Chesney was dealing with a new roster pretty much ever year and Cig had less churn.

For me it was fun to see a ton of guys I saw play here, some for many years. But in no way to I consider it part mine as a JMU fan. They left and did a thing, happy for them, more concerned with my own team.

VT never played a Cignetti coached JMU team.

A very impressive season for Indiana and happy for all involved, especially everyone with a JMU connection.

To each his own, but I will not be calling the JMU Bloomington or the Indiana Dukes - I think that disrespectful to the guys that actually stuck around and/or are still JMU Dukes.

JMU basketball down again at the half. Water wet, sky blue, etc

When you see JMU on the schedule.

VT dropped the toughest non-conference game from their schedule for 2026 at no small expense. Let that sink in.

I hope ODU beats them.

JMU’s game at Virginia Tech (Sept. 26) has been canceled due to VT needing to drop one game and they selected JMU over ODU or VMI.

Update: might not make it to halftime.

Concern level for JMU Mens BB remains very high.

I'm going to go watch the game today though and pray for a turnaround.

Just thinking about Phil Knight watching his 30 million dollar team get torched by a bunch of 2 star JMU transfers in Adidas gear.

Rooting for Oregon. I won’t be taking any questions.

Good win for the Dukes over a decent Arkansas State team. Now time for some home games.

But as I said earlier totally fine to agree to disagree. I totally respect your points – It’s a good discussion!

HTML doesn’t force one approach.

You can layer any number of frameworks on top of it: Flash (RIP), React, Vue, Svelte, WebGL, Three.js, raw canvas, WebGPU, whatever. The spec doesn’t limit that.

03.01.2026 02:20 β€” πŸ‘ 1    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 2    πŸ“Œ 0

Flash was a proprietary framework with a fixed canvas and runtime.
It wasn’t β€œmore open” β€” it just didn’t have to solve the same problems the modern web does.

And HTML isn’t a template. It’s a container.

03.01.2026 02:20 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

Bingo.

03.01.2026 02:13 β€” πŸ‘ 1    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

I think the bigger shift is that we now expect experiences to scale from 27” monitors to 6” pocket screens.

That constraint changed the style of the web more than anything.

03.01.2026 02:11 β€” πŸ‘ 1    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

Agree to disagree. The web has gotten better since the demise of Flash. It’s also more accessible.

There is nothing you could do in Flash that couldn’t be done with modern web technologies.

03.01.2026 02:01 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 2    πŸ“Œ 0

I’ve been a designer for 25 years - Flash sucked and there’s nothing anti-creative about its demise.

It was also woefully suited for the advances in mobile/touch, not to mention a resource hog.
