I wrote to key French decision-makers about the planned National Primate Centre.

A €31m public investment hosting up to 1,800 non-human primates risks increasing their use in research-at a time when EU law, Eurobarometer results & the Commission’s roadmap point towards phasing out animal testing. 🐒

And of course, I do totally disagree with her political positions-emerging only at a later stage…

This was a short reaction in my story,there for only 24 hours, without further explanations-true- but, not the right place to make a whole analysis of BB’s life. But, my text is clear: it’s just an homage to her as an animal defender, where she a.o. achieved banning of import of seal fur&products.

Today, with MEPs from across political groups, I sent a letter to the Commission supporting the Roadmap to phase out animal testing for chemical safety and insisting on the publication in early 2026. 🐇

Authorization to unload surviving animals must be granted immediately. Every other day at sea causes more suffering.

🚨The Commission is risking our #roadsafety & fuelling #pollution: I have submitted a written question demanding answers, along with my colleagues from the Greens.

The mutual recognition clause in the EU-US trade deal risks a surge in monster SUVs.

That means:
