It is nice to share behind the scenes stuff of the work we do. Animated sitcoms get a bad rap as being lazily made despite the tremendous amount of work that goes into them. We try to make it look simple while others show try to look complicated. We’re still on and those shows are gone so…..

Coworker of mine lived in Burbank for the fifteen years of AD when the office was on the Miracle Mile. Awful commute. Last year we moved to Empire and his commute dropped to four minutes. He played the long game and won (for now!)

I watched the final Mariners Blue Jays game with friends from Toronto and Seattle. The Toronto friend couldn’t understand why we were so miserable throughout most of the game. We explained we’re from Seattle, we’re used to crushing disappointment and failing to live up to your promise. Blue Jays won

There’s a term in the sports community, “Homer,” referring to people who only care about their hometown teams and have a delusional amount of faith in them. It’s meant derogatorily but where’s the fun in choosing to be a fan of great teams? I was cursed to be Seattle sports fan until the day I die

I’ve fully acclimated to living in Los Angeles but I will forever crave the swift destruction of the Rams by the Seahawks.

Managed to make one lap around the roller rink tonight. You take your victories where they come.

Alas no. There was pretty sick EXORCIST exhibit that I’m guessing took its place. Loved the museum, wish I had more time to linger and catch a screening.

I asked the Warrior Mother and she answered. Genuinely startling to watch an IMAX screen so big it took up almost my entire field of vision. Not sure mankind can handle this much Varang. What a night!

Museum of the Moving Image: Obviously the Jim Henson exhibit was the main draw but I cannot deny how excited I was to see the giant Freddy sweater prop from THE DREAM MASTER. Movies! Our greatest artform.

Where dreams come true…

Spent last night on the Lower East Side with two locals who lovingly reminisced about all the harrowing things that happened to them while growing up there in the 80s/90s. “If you both laugh and cry in one day, that’s a whole life.” New York!

Snowfall in New York City. This is the best trip I’ve had in quote some time.

Just got out of BUG. They had us put our phones in those locking bags. Turns out there was an extraordinarily good reason for this!
