i’m glad writing fan fiction through covid reignited my passion for it.

i honestly don’t know what i’d be doing in my free time if i wasn’t making shit up about my favourite ship and sharing it with other people who also make shit up about them.

my classmates said they liked my stories.

my english teacher said it was a shame i didn’t continue with it.

my mom said she thought i could do anything i put my mind to.

looking back, it’s funny how i lost complete confidence from one (1) thing said once.

but since 2020, i haven’t stopped writing at all.

i remember when i was a kid, my mom asked me what i wanted to be when i grow up and i said i wanted to be a writer. i remember when my english teacher read a passage i wrote out loud in class and said “wow. it’s beautiful.”

i tried to write again when i was 18 but i still thought it sucked. it was progress though because i sent it for publication at one of my uni’s magazines. i wrote here and there sporadically for a few years until 2020 came along and i was bored out of my mind

before covid, i was actually going through pretty bad writer’s block that had been going on for years. i wasn’t confident in anything i wrote because of an offhanded comment i received one (1) time. i was probably very fragile at 16 LMAO

i’ve always loved writing in school. english was my favourite subject bc we were given a lot of tasks to write our own stories, we even had that scholastic book thing. but i found that exam questions were hard bc of the word count limit they allowed for the creative writing portions (i did IGCSE)

wanted to post my thoughts on twt but less ppl follow me here so it’s better to not post it there.

(ANYWAY, NOT POSTING FOR SYMPATHY JUST # thoughts)
