This was painted fairly quickly, (surprisingly so!) and mostly painted quite zoomed out, only zooming in for fine detailing of the face, hands, feet, and flowers. I did this to practice overall form and color blocking.

One of the repercussions of ppl not viewing artists as ‘workers’ + viewing art solely as frivolity is when fascists come for artists (via gen ai and other exploitation), so few people seem to care, including many people who’d otherwise declare themselves progressive and critically engaged on labor.
