A wish was granted some years ago, but unbeknownst to the supplicant, a monkeys paw curled its gnarled digit inward.

I know follower counts don’t matter as much as we think we do, but it still does when it comes to being able to set up passive forms of income (Patreon, ko-fi etc). I wish I could build up something substantial enough to live off of. I’m so tired of the corporate grind and AI.

This was painted fairly quickly, (surprisingly so!) and mostly painted quite zoomed out, only zooming in for fine detailing of the face, hands, feet, and flowers. I did this to practice overall form and color blocking.

Does anyone know of any pose reference accounts with larger models? I want to practice drawing some cute, chubby~heavy set bodies.

I think some art might be the remedy. Something exploratory, loose, perhaps mildly indulgent.

One of the repercussions of ppl not viewing artists as ‘workers’ + viewing art solely as frivolity is when fascists come for artists (via gen ai and other exploitation), so few people seem to care, including many people who’d otherwise declare themselves progressive and critically engaged on labor.
