One of the early Lovejoy books says that nothing is an antique if it was made after Queen Victoria came to the throne, and I'm sticking to that.
Of course, that book probably counts as "vintage" itself, now.

I love the use of the word "finally" by RT here. The s21 trailer only came out two months ago. It makes "Doctor in Distress" look patient.

Well, your post came up in my "Following" feed, so I guess your new handle copied over.

A bit of carelessness: while the label reads "Whisky", the ad copy reads "Whiskey".

Harry Lindfield will have had no photo reference for a shuttlecraft, so he had to make something up.

"Crime Cavalier" remains unmade, sadly.

Look at the shape of the lemon cake! You could separate the two halves to make bunny ears.
But I suppose it's too late now.

Then, a few years later, it's, "Oh, a reprint with a new cover. I don't really need another copy, do I? Do I?" [Clicks order.]

It's an odd measure though, isn't it? I mean, you can't have read 10 books or more by Jane Austen, or Douglas Adams, or Charlotte BrontΓ«, because none of them wrote that many. It doesn't mean that you don't like them.

Hi, Stuart. I usually enjoy your posts, but since you are not using ALT text to flag up the name of the horrible journalist you are mocking, so that it can be caught by muted words lists, I will be muting your account for a while. See you when this fad is over.

Hi, Andrew. Love your own posts, but am muting you for a while because you don't include the horrible journalist's name in your ALT text.

Dear everyone, if you are using that headline generator, please put the name of the horrible journalist in the ALT text, so that it can be caught by a muted words list.

IIRC, Barbara Kellerman was working on a supermarket till when she was cast as the White Witch. Just imagine her shouting this at customers.

Screen capture from an interview with Jodie Whittaker to promote the UK broadcast of "One Night" in 2023. She is laughing and holding up her hands in a gesture of disbelief. The auto-generated subtitle, with added punctuation, reads:
"'No bras in the Tardis!' That was a classic. 'We don't need a woman Doctor Who; no bras in the Tardis!'"

I keep thinking of the fate of Varney the Vampire. I'm just irredeemably lowbrow!
Sadly, I won't be free when you give the talk. Will a recording be available?

Where are you, Tom? Sounds is a licence-fee funded service, so it may only be available in the UK.

It's also in the book "More Goon Show Scripts", which I've had since 1974. I think I read this before actually hearing any of the shows.
