We do have a faculty lounge!
Or at least an enclosed part of the lunch and coffee area that we hold faculty meetings in (in addition to PhD student breakfasts, dissertation celebrations et c.). Its glass door to the main inner stairwell makes it pretty public, though.
We have to admit that the โanti-wokeโ framework has proved itself to be exceptionally successful - and not only discursively. This is visible not only in its peculiar global outreach but, more importantly, in the fact that while being an empty concept it has nonetheless >>

We used economic models based around screening games and the market for unpaid labor to highlight a meltdown cycle threatening peer review.
Letโs hear if it is mentioned in the State of the Union addressโฆ

When capacity is treated as fixed, the eugenic (and of course neoliberal) premise of โnot everyone can be taken care ofโ is depoliticized as an economic discovery instead of named as a political decision. And that move does not merely reflect an able-bodied baselineโit produces one.

As I see it this should be split into two reasons: tax ordinary people to reduce effective demand, and tax the wealthy to reduce their economic power.
