In truth, NY Dems are split. If/when Mamdani wins, it will help move things along. Cuomo/Jay Jacobs/etc will have lost some of their magic.

Is it really amazing though? These people's whole life has been about staying in power via whatever means available. So they take advantage of whatever rules allow them to do that.

It's interesting & could be concerning that he didn't get rid of it when he figured it out as an older person.

The tattoo is another thing. It seems quite possible he didn't know what it was for years (I would not recognize it as a Nazi symbol). ⬇️

-He doesn't live in NYC.
-He was governor. Mayor is a step down.
-His whole political shtick is designed to win on LI & similar places.
-Dems are predominantly women. Cuomo is a serial harasser.
-He disempowered NYC Dems as gov.

He stinks.

I do love the attacks that Mamdani is too privileged to be mayor when his opponent just made $5 million "consulting" for undisclosed clients and the city was not too long ago run by a billionaire that weekended at his island getaway for years while serving.

Meaning that his Reddit posts do not support his being a Nazi (aka proFa).

Beating Cuomo will be a beautiful thing. This guy has name recognition, money, big media, the muckety-mucks, all the advantages.

Enlisting in the military & working for Blackwater are not the same as organizing & leading a KKK chapter.

I mean, a lot of people have enlisted, done multiple tours. Is that bad? The military is a big part or our culture, like it as not. Various elected Dems have done multiple tours.

I don't think it's a very good one.

There's other things you can say about the tattoo, sure. Go for it.

But I don't think we can say Platner was a white supremacist organizer, as Byrd definitely was.
