29.10.2025 17:34 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Both of Lena's parents had passed away before her. Her father first, though the year is illegible, then her mother Anne, widow of Spring Rice. So as to why her mother's name was not recorded on her memorial, I cannot answer. As I said previously the cemetery is tiny.

Memorial to James M. Power and family at St. Mary's graveyard, Littleton, Co. Tipperary.
If I am not mistaken there was a great shop here in the late 80s where you could buy old match programmes, bank notes and various other collectibles.

02.08.2025 14:49 โ ๐ 2 ๐ 1 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Absolutely, for a long while. There was a boy killed at Thurles Station in the 1890s, and it was the GS&WR CC who erected his grave memorial. It is probably the only tangible piece of evidence for the club. The memorial is in one of the town graveyards. Pic to follow at the weekend.
