Looking at a star 100 light years away is looking at it as it was 100 years ago when the light left it. If they look at us, they’ll see 1925 Earth.

If that star goes supernova right now, we won’t see it till 2125.

My friend (who I‘ll call X) needs help. She’s a multiply marginalized trans person in an unsafe abusive environment, and she can’t post mutual aid without risk of more harm. I’m trying to help her. Who is gonna help save these folks and wrap this up today?

The reason they'll never do this, as things are now, is because its not kids they care about.

This is about keeping an exploitable population to become military or work themselves to death to continue the upward flow of wealth. They think a pop boom will fix what they broke & bring them more funds.

It's a good day, a good minute, to remember that if we're not engaging w/ ourselves the way we'd engage w/ a friend or pet we love, including how we talk to ourselves & how we react to our missteps, we're probably still running old trauma programming.

Scratch the record.

We didn't need "perfect" parenting. No trauma survivor is in pain because our parents weren't "perfect." We needed parents, teachers, & clergy who were visibly trying to understand us & keep us safe.

That's not "too high" a bar or "entitled."

It is said that nothing lasts forever, and often that is cause for sorrow and regret. But take heart, for it also applies to the reign of despots, to tyranny. They too cannot last forever, so let us usher in their end, let us outlast them.
