At the end of last season of #Earthdawn Benevolence, Travar fell under attack, chaos ensued, the guild was hunted down and some allies escaped, but many did not.
A month has passed since the guild was splintered. A party steps out of trees to investigate a lead. Season 5 begins tonight at 7pm CST
From the little I've seen of my wife watching it, and comparing it to media I consider bad... I call it "ok", not recommendable tho
But when every other Star Trek I've seen is excellent, exceptional, or incredible (at their worst!)... by comparison it's so far behind that I just want to watch them.

However, the last line has a pros/cons situation.
A friend of mine who got detained spontaneously and got out had to find his phone was sold at a pawn shop nearby and only found because location services was on lead him there. It's the only reason he got it back.
I just hope things are better tomorrow than they are today. And I suspect it's going to be some time until that hope bears fruit. But we'll get there, day by day. And I'll be doing what I can to help nearby until we've reached that, and probably after that too honestly. It's what we do here.

If I had a lesson to ask everyone to remember with all of this, It's that we need to think with our minds, not with our feelings. And a lot of what we consume is geared about selling to our feelings and don't question with our minds.
It's a hard thing to recognize how you've fallen into that trap
But this is also important to recognize that we're not the only traumatic source of world issues. There's Palestine, Ukraine, Iran, and so many other places. I know a lot of people who see this are neighbors by street, state or online circles, but it's important to have eyes wide open.

I don't want to say much on social media about my own experiences regarding the situation here. I live it enough, I don't need an echo chamber or a debate about what I live.
I will say that what you're seeing here is real 100%. I often joked that Minnesota being in the middle of the US is safe.
I've always had an appreciation for Fred Rogers, and when times like this happen, I always try to find ways to help based on a story he famously shared. When opportunities come up, I try to look within, I guess. #LookForTheHelpers

Since I've got a few DMs, I'll respond publicly. Context: I live in Minnesota, within the area affected by current events.
My family and I are fine right now. I have neighbors who are 100% citizens who appreciated me getting them groceries this week because of how they speak/look.
FYI, I am not scammed right now. But I've seen a LOT of friends do the ol "Hey" and try to get me to download the game they magically have been working on.
Oh yeah, and I type too much, you all know that, if the sentences are too short... that's a huge tell.
I'm saying this proactively. A common scam on Discord is to ask people to download and test out a new game. In my specific case, I could see people falling for it.
I will never ask you to test any of our games without being part of a voice call first. Just ask for voice, you'll get your answer.

In my time on Discord, I've had 4 friends ask me to test a game. First time was legit, it started with "let's jump on a voice call".
Every time since was a bot, turns out asking a friend to hop on voice before downloading anything is a easy way to determine if they've been hacked for me. #PSA
