Often has a grassy taste. Adding milk or oat milk softens it up a lot. Most cafes have it - if you see them use this whisking tool (pictured) with the base matcha, it’s probably legit.

Places like Starbucks premixes matcha so it’s always sweet and probably over processed.

Try a matcha latte (iced or hot)
I drink them unsweetened which can be a challenging taste for some people.
Sweetened is an easy like.
