just ending this out with: i am terminally online and watch videos about various forms of internet scams for Fun and for Curiosity and have generally a keen eye for absolute bullshit BUT EVEN THEN i will have trouble discerning what's real from what's a con. so i can understand!! how hard!! this is!

nobody is immune!!! ive been getting a lot of these types of job interview scams too and if i were just a little less informed or more desperate i could have fallen for any one of them!! it sucks!!

LITERALLYYYYYYY!!!! scams are ever evolving and it's better to be open to learning all the ways people are doing it now than saying "if you fall for that you're stupid" and get egg on your face with it evolves enough to Trick You !!!!

like yeah people are falling for roadrunner ass "they painted a tunnel on the canyon" types of phishing scams can we maybe help them see the can of paint off to the side before they run full speed into a wall

sorry i just remember the influx of "PFT HOW COULD /ANYONE/ FALL FOR THESE SCAMS THEY MUST BE STUPID!!!" and get really mad because tech literacy has gone down + besides that it's shitty behavior to act all high and mighty about other people getting tricked because you can see the red flags easier.

i think, even if there are things that are so obviously scams it may as well have a giant neon sign that says "WE'RE TRYING TO SCAM YOU" it's still good to warn people about it because there is a reason these things work unforch and it relies on people who are not tech savvy or are unaware
