Today, the #Trump administration announced that they will require universities to pledge that they have eliminated all programs that "advance or promote #DEI" in order to receive #NIH funding for science.

Reshaping the education system, demanding that universities comply with Nazi priorities in their curricula, and eradicating certain ways of thinking was a top priority for #Hitler.

When I visited Poland in 2018, I learned more about how the #Nazi party targeted German universities, scientists, and academics almost immediately after coming to power.

They got tired of fighting universities, only to have a powerful one (Harvard) fight back.

So they're going to just screw us all over in one fell swoop unless we all bow down and throw away DEI programming and students' rights to free speech.

NIH bans all future grants to universities with DEI programs or Israel boycotts NIH prohibited the awarding of new grants to institutions that have DEI programs or boycott Israeli companies

As of today, the NIH is saying it will deny funds to institutions that have any DEI programs.

Segregationists are so threatened that marginalized people *may* have opportunities for advancement that they are willing to shut down universities and the scientific enterprise over it.
