Our PhD student @vince-bronner.bsky.social has produced this beautiful work on simulating common envelopes with MESA. With this method, these notoriously difficult calculations can be easily completed on a laptop! They can reproduce the results of 3D simulations arxiv.org/abs/2311.06332 π
