I've been at the shop every day since Feb 25th. My one day off I was there running my weekly game. The overtime is nice and I'm always happy to help out when the boss can't be there. But man I'm tired. Now only one more day to be there for my weekly game tomorrow. Then I'll have a break away.

We are hosting a #Warhammer tournament at the shop today. So we are opening two hours early at ten. There are folks here upset we aren't open at 9:30.

"Irony" has done more damage to the RPG scene than Wizards of the Coast. I'm fine with "comedy". But I want games made in earnest. I want the old indie canard where you make stuff because you love it and if anyone likes it it's a bonus.

Picked up the #Vaesen starter kit at work today. It's the game I'll be running after a couple more sessions of #cyberpunk2020. Looking forward to the change of pace and get into something more investigation style.

I have some memory of enjoying the show when it first dropped. But then again science fiction shows were hard to come by on standard broadcast television back then so we took what we could get.

Which I can check in and run the freight no problem. But it was our restock of Chessex dice, and our restock of Army Painter paints, and our restock of Wizkids mini's and our... well you get the idea. It was a lot.

Of course while the boss is at #GAMA all the freight that had been delayed or was put on backorder comes in, on the same day. Along with a few things arriving early. The excitement never stops at the #FLGS.

This week at the shop is when I get a lot of extra hours in. My boss is at #GAMA at this time. But when he comes back I get to hear of all the new stuff we'll be getting over the next few months. It's always cool to know what's coming. #FLGS

That's a big issue for me with cons as well. I hit a point to where I just need to get away from people for a little bit and decompress. Or to lay down so my back and and knee can stop hurting for a little while.

My boss has gone to GenCon every year for quite a while. This year if he doesn't draw a good hotel he's not going. After some of the stories he told me of the commute issues I can't blame him.

I used to have a large collection of gaming magazines. But a flood that hit the storage shed I was using when I had to live someplace with no room ended them. Managed to find a bunch in pdf form over the last few years though.

It's pineapple for me. Wasn't a fan before, but then after I had Covid and my stint on a ventilator I woke up with a changed sense of taste. Some things I now like that I didn't before. Except pineapple, it tastes even worse now.

Maybe on low quality copies. But the ones in really good shape are probably going to stay high. There are only a finite amount of copies out there and I think most of the 'grandmothers attic' finds have run out as people know they are worth money now.

“asbestos of the internet” is the phrase I'll be using quite often when referring to AI from now on.
