I could keep going (and I probably will in the future) as honestly every piece of art I got for the book was so impressive, working with everyone was so fun 😭 My point is Remedy fan artists are some of the most creative and talented people and I love them all so much 🥰

@evil-owl-loki.bsky.social also blew me away by taking really simple ideas (Casey and Saga watching Night Springs with Logan, the Bright Falls PD having a BBQ) and adding so much gorgeous detail to create these really complex scenes that are so fun to color in.

I loved one of the options we didn't go with so much that we ended up turning it into a coloring book page with Jesse and Dylan.

Like I want it colorful and campy, maybe even a little girlypop (I have the barest understanding of what that word even means but it feels right)... but also it's Remedy so it's a little dark and scary and weird too. Jesse Faden needed to take a break from filming to do a movie so they had to write an episode of Control that stars Emily Pope instead and this is what the world looks like from her perspective where she's the main character. Emily got to have a slumber party for her birthday and all her friends showed up and stayed up all night with her partying and eating cake. But it's Emily's idea of an ideal party so there's also science and puzzles and weird paranormal shit that might kill them. Emily had a fever dream and in it she became a world famous popstar and she's so nervous because she invited her crush to her concert tonight and she said she might show up and also there's been this ominous black pyramid that keeps appearing above the stage every time she performs making disgruntled noises?? But that's kind of interesting too tho so she's not mad at it. Emily is watching the mandatory safety videos they're required to review every year at the FBC and she's daydreaming about how she'd dramatically save Jesse's life in the event of a lab accident. None of this is meant to be taken as literal things I want on the cover I'm just sharing images that come to mind when I think of the name "Emily Pope's Big Puzzle Adventure" to give an idea of the vibes 😂 I understand this is infuriatingly vague. I guess what I'm boiling it down to is: - I need a full color 8.5 x 11" inch cover design. Included on the art would be the title of the book. - Emily Pope deserves to have main character energy as a little treat."

Always amazed by how artists can turn the crudest reference images and poor sketches into perfection. Here's another favorite, the initial idea for the "Emily explains it all" image, the adorable drawing @marms.art made from it, and then how it finally appeared in the book.
