When I was little, we had Show and tell, where a kid would get up on the platform in front of the class and show everyone their new toy or something.

Once in a while, a boy, would bring a jar of snails, drowned in water for some reason.

A friends place had a separate toilet in the bathroom, but there was a door off the loo which lead directly to the backyard.

So if they were gardening and needed to spend a penny, they wouldn't have to trudge through the whole house.
