Curious. Seems this administration is making more of an effort to ensure that 1 in 8 Americans go hungry than they are in working to release the Epstein files.

No different than his first term where his administration actually said out loud that some Americans (mostly elders and those with health issues) needed to die during COVID so the rest of us could live "normal" lives, go to school, etc.

Wait a hot minute. The "affordability issue is dead"??? So why is he now claiming to "re-brand" himself where affordability is his number one issue?

I don't post much, but I'm not ok w/all of the articles, op-eds, social media posts today about how "united" we all were after 9/11 -- articles with titles like this: "We can again be the country we were after 9/11" What I remember about Oct 2001 was, oh shit, why are we bombing Afghanistan?

I’ve been thinking a lot about Murkowski’s vote. It contains, in one action, so much that defines our pathetic political moment:

Selfishness: I’m taking care of me and mine, the rest of you can pound sand;

Lack of accountability: I know the bill is bad, hopefully someone else will fix it;

And, for gawd's sake, if you google "can children receive SS benefits?" you will LEARN about how this is legal and a thing. They are intentional idiots. They seem to work very hard at being misinformed.

I and my brothers received SS survivors benefits after our father died until we turned 18. It was a life saver, for a number of reasons, not the least of which was that our mom was not mentally fit to hold a job. These people are idiots and have never been exposed to life outside of a country club.

This is why I stopped reading David Brooks years ago -- it's not good for my mental or physical health. Occasionally, like now, I'll take a peak and then realize it was a very good decision. I can not explain how tired we all are of DB blaming those even slightly left of center on f-ing everything.
