#Syntakt clearly could have been a far superior machine to both the Digitakt and Digitone right from the start.

If they made the Syntakt with Digitakt and Digitone engines available with hardware to support it in the first instance they would have a next level machine. But no. Spreading features across more devices is a better cash grab. “You need to buy three of our machines!” to do a job one could! Enough.

No reason the Syntakt couldn’t have a couple of Digitone 2 machines. If they added that and samples then the Syntakt would piss all over the DN2 and DT2.
While they are at it, make it a bit bigger, add the Tonverk effects and add a crossfader with Octatrack style scenes.
It would sell millions.

I sold my Syntakt because I felt it could do with just a track or two of sampling. As a device, it just made me miss the Rytm I’d sold.

I’m done with Elektron as a company because this pointless feature scarcity to differentiate their devices is just old.
