I'm seeing the repeated idea that Congress has been effectively dissolved, and I'd like to point out, yes, that's what this administration is trying to do, but it's only working bc the fascist party has the majority and supports it. Congress merely has to *flex*, and the President is fucked.

i really resent the continued assertion that there’s so much anger on both sides, as if the causes of the anger are equally legitimate. we’re angry because masked maniacs are violently snatching our family and neighbors off the street, and they’re angry because we’re calling them out for it.

I saw someone say, months ago, when you solve a problem in Windows, you're angry you had to. When you solve a problem in Linux, it feels like an accomplishment.

I noticed that at first, too. I think it *might* be because it wasn't an option until somewhat recently, so people are excited about it?

Laser and tattoo studios who offer pro-bono or heavily discounted work for removing/covering up Harry Potter and Nazi tattoos are doing great work.

In an attempt to create a flawed character, many storytellers end up creating an abusive character and make the abusiveness the whole personality and the core reason why the character is supposed to be compelling. I do not find abusiveness compelling. I find it hard to watch.

One of the major problems that I think western democracies face is that leaders are practically barred, for security or other reasons, from even interacting with most common folk.

Yeah, it's all in flux. The thing about cape comics is they're built for readers to rotate out of them every few years. That hasn't been true in decades, but it's how the industry is run, so creative teams cycle through, and ideas get invented, dumped, recycled, revived yadda yadda. Forever.
