Apparently, the main authors that have a problem with piracy are korean, who instead depend mostly on digital platforms who can easily distribuite the manhwas around the world (apparently, paying them crumbles).
Honestly though, those platforms have insane fees for something that can be erased.

The exposition! For countries with a heavy censorship, like China, or that rely heavily on phisical copies, digital versions and fan translations are actually a great way to reach a bigger audience that may lead to an official licensed version in foreign countries.
