I feel like that the specifics of that mindset are unique to the internet of today, but it grew as part of a natural evolution of sales culture in the US.
I remember a brief period when I tried going sales and everyone there were personally revolting in a verry similar way.

Thank you for writing these advice posts btw! I just started doing reading and horror game streams just two weeks ago and I feel like I always have so much to learn and get better at.
