surprised that I have yet to see/hear anyone mention that this year, the Monster Cereals have been Jim Henson-ized and would it surprise you not at all that it's the rare instance of something wonderful made somehow even more wonderful via a modern updating?

I actually felt like the first chunk of the movie almost works because they leaned harder into character re: Freddy, but then it just goes back to redoing everything with heavy CG, and it's clunky and unpleasant to look at and forgettable
