i find the combat systems to be more annoying than interesting at this point but i'm still enjoying it plenty. previous 2 managed to build up a lot of good will from me

i mean im in like chapter 2 so what do i know. maybe there's npcs. doesn't seem like there's going to be though.

this game is weird compared to the previous two. just fully a dungeon crawl with all the world npc stuff pared down. it's a credit to the series that even with that, it still feels like there's plenty of writing in there, although you can tell it's not the same scale

i think the idea of "bots" is incredibly socially corrosive in a way no one's bothered to reckon with, even beyond the obvious factual existence of automated propaganda accounts. it's so common now to see people dismiss disagreement as coming from "bots" and it's just liberalese for "npc"
