I too am anticipating a prolonged and spicy, ahem, discussion about this - and as someone who doesn’t dabble in hominin taxonomy, I’ll defer to my colleagues who do. (And you left out bodoensis, too.) The muddle in the middle Pleistocene of hominin taxonomy seems especially… kerfuffle-y.
