"Tourism has lost its depth and overtourism is the symptom. We collect photos instead of memories. We move through places without truly hearing them. In doing so, we lose on both sides. Places lose their authenticity and travellers lose the chance for a real connection"~Ruben Santopietro,Visit Italy

A memory: I was attending a conference in Kamloops, in the mid/late 1980s.The Marchands had agreed to take a few billets, including me. I didn't realize who I was staying with. He introduced himself as 'Len'...THEN I realized whose house I was in! Donna & Len were wonderful hosts;Len a great leader.

Pass on more pipelines. We have better, more cost-effective ways to increase national self-sufficiency and quality of life. A true nation-building project would be to create a renewable-powered integrated electricity grid throughout the country.

re: the military protection, perhaps we should remind this President that USA has benefitted from the security and stability of having an ally on its border, so USA in effect could use its military attention elsewhere in the world. Trump administration overlooks this.We should invoice them for that.

A safe, protected bike-lane in downtown Vancouver filled with people riding bikes.

You don’t have to be a β€œcyclist” to support safe bike infrastructure in your city. You don’t have to ride bikes at all. You just have to understand the FACT that bike infrastructure makes getting around easier & safer for EVERYONE, saves us all public money, & makes cities generally more successful.

A data visualization graphic titled "Which voters back proportional representation?" shows the results of a national poll conducted by EKOS Research. A large circular chart indicates that 68% of Canadians support proportional representation, while smaller charts display support levels by party: 72% of Liberal voters, 54% of Conservative voters, 83% of NDP voters, 87% of Green voters, 74% of Bloc voters, and 77% of PPC voters. The chart uses green for support, red for opposition, and gray for "don't know." The EKOS logo appears in the bottom left, and the website www.fairvote.ca/prpoll2025 is displayed at the bottom.

IMPORTANT: If you live in the United States or Canada, you’ve probably heard Trumpβ€˜s constant claim that the United States is β€œsubsidizing” Canada. It’s wrong of course, but here’s the best explanation I’ve seen about how & why it’s wrong. PLEASE WATCH & SHARE IT A LOT. Kudos to Andrew Chang & CBC.
