Work in progress of 3 fanart portraits of dragons from different media (L-R): Raishan from Vox Machina, Morkeleb from Dragonsbane and Bronze dragon from Dungeons and Dragons (2024 version).

I usually don't post WIPs but with how slow things are moving lately I guess it doesn't hurt every now and then. A bit of fanarts/portraits practice in progress.

A purple dragon drifts in a sea of stars, floating just barely above the surface. He lies unconscious, his wings spread out and his body covered in bleeding cuts. The inside of his wings and the blood that seeps from him match the pattern of the stars in the sea he floats amidst. Floating next to him is his jacket and backpack, remnants from when he was human moments ago.

Danto, a human sorcerer, fell in battle against an incursion of demons 10,000 years ago. Drawn to the Astral Sea, pulled to the edge of existence itself, where the laws of reality were weak and malleable, he was reborn as Daerevaturalix, the Looming Flame.
