African football is developing fast with large number of players playing at elite clubs. The talent is there. Is the tactics and nous?

Norway beat Italy to qualify for the World Cup ahead of them. That’s some change in fortunes for both teams.

#england. #Bellinghams reaction to being subbed in a meaningless fixture which had been won with 4 mins to go can’t be genuine. Any normal player would appreciate allowing a teammate the chance to win a cap. I’m sure he has done that because he thinks he should do that….as a part of the narrative.

That’s cool for Brazil. One goal from the teen tyro and the other from the gnarled vet. How does casemiro look so good for Brazil and so leaden for Utd?

Frustration leading to an act of self harm. He was always a bad loser.

He’s lost 2 years of serious development at Madrid. He needs competitive game time. Bundesleague and or French top tier would be a good step.

Will we ever see the best of Latvia? Looks very fragile injury wise

Maybe the break he took whilst on strike at Newcastle has come back to bite him, as he’s maybe pushed to get fit too quick. Irony or justice. You pick.

The tide has merely stopped. It certainly hasn’t turned yet. Confidence in the team and squad remains fragile and the system is too easily outplayed by opposition. I’m still not convinced.

Van dyke. Maybe 3 seasons ago, but in this team, he would need to be playing a higher line and lack of pace from him would be deadly.

#del toros #Frankenstein. All the constituent parts of the film are there. Great images, great acting, faithful to original story etc. but like the monster lacks a soul. I really wanted to love it, and I nearly did. But…….

Richard Nixon peace prize. Goes along with the Freddy Kruger care for teenagers award and the Leatherface babysitting excellence award.

1: Texas chain saw massacre. The start of that film with the scratchy news reel , footage of bugs is very disturbing. Then a guy with a human face for a mask starts killing people with a chain saw. Then you meet his family and he actually seems the nicest. That’s the most scary film ever. There!

2: the Omen. The original is great. Along with a great book, it really elevated horror films. Gregory peach starred. But underneath it all , it was scary.

3: evil dead 2. Although very funny, it was also very scary. The whole cabin in the woods, lost scriptures, evil spirits was great. Then it got mental! Love it .

But surely Endrick needs to play to develop. A loan to Germany has worked for a few English players. Strong league, good technical teams, great opportunity to see how good he is/can be.

The timings way off. Why wait until after an international break. If they had acted after the last game a manager would have come in and worked with the squad for a couple of weeks before the first game. Now it’s changing the wings while flying.

He’s posting crazy numbers at the moment. Never a flash looking player but one that seems to continue to mature and develop and improve. The World Cup could be his crowning glory!

Stop being soooo silly. Skinanarink isn’t even a proper film let alone a scary one. At most it was a good short film. But stretched over the length of a full feature it was rubbish. I’m having a think and I’ll be right back with top 3 from my perspective

@horology.bsky.social why no posts? I’ll start. I’m wearing a 1956 longines. Gold case. I put on the Longines blue alligator strap. It a lovely watch. Interestingly it’s inscribed on the back it was an award for 30 years service at east London docks. What are you wearing?

Agreed. Lots of football still to play but Middlesbrough and Coventry starting to pull away and get into a groove. Missing someone who can turn possession and chances into goals. But also need midfielders to score some goals.

It’s a great movie with 3 great male roles all acted superbly but all overshadowed by the mother and daughter roles. Both of which basically show that the guys are all idiots fantasy playing roles while the ladies get shit done. Quite realistic really.

What a versatile and modern actress. Took on a lot of roles which even though were comedic, always had a social dimension to them which she was able to convey. She always seemed fragile but strong and independent at the same time. Rip
