It is very suspicious that New York Governor Hochul’s first reaction to the drone sightings was to call for the passage of a Law drafted less than 2 months before the drones were an issue. It would have been very unpopular to pass such a law unless the population was made to fear drones.

Why the drone sightings? likely a propaganda campaign to build public support for a proposed federal law that would authorize states to take actions against citizens operating drones, including killing those citizens. The Bill was introduced in September and the drone sightings started in November.
